Jay Katz and Miss Death host and commentate this special presentation for Sydney Underground Film Festival 2021, guiding you through highlights of vintage educational safety films. They are picking only the crème of the crop, spanning the 1950's to 80's, these films were designed to scare the pants off kids and keep them safe from horrific car accidents, playing with fireworks, illegal drug use and the nightmare that is Stranger Danger just to name a few. A handful of these films were transferred from original 16mm prints housed in the Mu Meson Archives.

Thought lost and forgotten, this rare mini documentary about the Mu Mesons & Jay Katz by director Shannon O'Neill, was a part of his final year project at The Australian Film & Television School. It captured the Mesons just prior to tragedy hitting, with the passing of our much beloved drummer UBU and Sax player Bruce Lacy. Shannon, just like Brendan Young, captured the true essence of the Mesons and cared very much about its eccentric performers.

If it looked bad back then, imagine how the numbers of people on the brink of poverty & the possibility of homelessness have grown during this pandemic. Filmed on location in Sydney, Australia in the mid 90s by maverick Artist, Director & Designer Don Cameron. Idea inspired & fully realised with the assistance of the "Mu Meson Archives" & the "Sounds of Seduction". This mesmerizing short is a homage to the European thrillers of the 70's that came to be known as the "Giallo". Featured in the abduction scene is the long gone but not forgotten repertory cinema the "Mandolin" which began live screenings in the 70's and remains legendary to anyone who ever attended because of its unique and astounding programming.
Produced & directed by Don Cameron. Special guest stars (performance Artist) Annabelle Lyons plus (Actor,Musician) Loene Carmen. Starring the Sounds Of Seduction crew which included Jay Katz, Miss Death, Bec Mac, Gino Del Reno, Jannie O"Malley, Ron Demkew & many more.
